Local time on October 9, at the meeting room of the Uruguayan Football Association in Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, the People's Government of Dingnan County, Ganzhou City, signed a cooperation agreement with the Uruguayan Football Association, marking deeper cooperation in the joint development of youth football training between China and Uruguay.

The four-year cooperation agreement signed establishes a comprehensive cooperation framework featuring "overseas coach deployment, player exchange training, event connectivity, industrial linkage and cultural integration". Both sides also agreed to pursue cooperation in industrial sectors including football equipment manufacturing, stadium construction, sports tourism and event operation. Youth exchanges, cultural exhibitions and themed activities will be carried out to boost cultural exchanges between China and Uruguay.

From the initial cooperation signing in Beijing this February to the new agreement reached during this visit to Uruguay, in just eight months, Dingnan has extended its reach from the old revolutionary base in southern Jiangxi to the South American continent. Connecting its local youth football academy with the youth training system of a World Cup champion nation, Dingnan uses football as a bridge. With the efforts of a county-level region, it contributes to China’s broader opening-up strategy.
