There are rules about sweating on summer days: sweat is the fluid of the heart, and beware of excessive depletion.

Summer is hot, the sun is hot, and sweat falls like a thin rain. This is the body's natural response to heat, and it is also an important way to detoxify and regulate body temperature. However, there is an old saying in Chinese medicine: "Sweat is the fluid of the heart," which is five short words, but contains deep health wisdom. It tells us that although sweat is small, it is closely related to our heart, and sweating adequately is necessary for health, and excessive sweating is harmful.

In the theoretical system of Chinese medicine, the heart is the king's organ, which dominates the blood flow and spiritual activities of the human body. And sweat, as a part of body fluids, its production and excretion are both regulated by the mind. Sweat, like the extension of blood from the heart, is an external manifestation of heart function. Therefore, when sweat increases abnormally, especially when sweating more and more over a long period of time, it is no longer a simple physiological phenomenon, but the body is warning us.

Imagine a friend who sweats and dresses so much in the summer, appears to be healthy, but hides a crisis. Traditional Chinese medicine says that this sweat is not a waste. Sweat is the fluid of the heart. Excessive sweating is like the water of the heart river being unduly drawn, the yin and yang are gradually depleted, and the yin and Yang are not dependent. Over time, the heart is like a tree that has lost its moisture and gradually withered.

Excessive sweating is a direct result of excessive sweating. Qi is the driving force of life, and qin is the lubrication of the body. When sweat pours out like a waterfall, breath escapes with sweat, and urine drains with sweat drains, people feel panic, as if the heart is beating wildly in the chest, trying to break free. He was weak, like a puppet who had been stripped of his strength, and had no strength to lift his hand. My breath was short, and every breath felt like I was trying to get the last bit of oxygen.

Worse still, excessive sweating can make the guards unstable. A camp is the nutrient fluid in the body, and a guard is the body's surface guard. Business and health harmony, the body can Ankang. Excessive sweating, like the defense line between the guards is broken down, external evil can be exploited, further aggravating the symptoms of sweating, forming a vicious circle.

I didn't make this out of thin air. It's already written in ancient Chinese medicine books. The Book of Huangdi says, "A man who sweats is also a man whose spirit is." Breath is precious to the human body and cannot be easily exhausted. Also known as:“The heart is the essence of life and the transformation of God; Its beauty is in the face, and it is in the blood.”The glory of the heart is visible in the face, and the fullness of the heart travels through the blood. Excessive sweating hurts the heart, the glow of the heart fades, and the passage of blood lines is blocked.

As an example, like an oil lamp, the oil is the base of the light source of the lamp, and the core is the key to guiding the oil to burn. The yin'a is like the lamp oil, and the sweat is like the smoke generated when the lamp oil burns. When the lamp oil (the shade) is sufficient, the lamp (the heart) burns brightly and steadily. However, when the lamp oil is overconsumed, the core (heart function) will fluctuate due to lack of moisture, and the light (life vitality) will become dim.

So how do we sweat to be healthy in summer? TCM adheres to the principle of moderation, as does sweating. When exercising, it is advisable to sweat slightly, which can achieve the purpose of exercising the body without unduly damaging the heart. In daily life, avoid being in a hot environment for a long time, and replenish moisture in time to maintain the body's fluid balance.

In addition, traditional Chinese medicine has some tips to help us regulate sweat. For example, it is possible to drink in moderation some tea drinks that have the effect of maintaining the yin and yang, such as chrysanthemum tea and goji berry tea; Eat more foods rich in water and electrolytes, such as watermelon, cucumber, etc. It is also possible to help regulate sweat secretion by massaging some of the points that have anti-perspirant effects, such as the junction and the reclining cave.

In conclusion, sweating on summer days is natural, but remember not to overdo it. Sweat is the fluid of the heart, precious as gold, and needs careful care. Let us enjoy the coolness of summer, but also learn to listen to the sounds of the body, sweat in moderation, and maintain physical and mental harmony and health. In this way, we can relax and enjoy life in this hot summer.
