人是城市的灵魂

A city is made of its people.

There are journalists, filled with pride for their culture, eager to share it with international students like me.

他们以海纳百川之心，热情分享属于这片土地的故事。

There are artists, whose passion can unite the most distant of people.

同好者千里共鸣，镜头之外，是心灵的相通。

There are those treasured eccentrics, my kindred spirits. 奇人，总能为世界带来色彩，遇见他们时，总能感到同道中人。

There are the grandfathers, who have witnessed history.

他身上有岁月如歌的回响，文化在他骨中流动。

There are the women who care for the city, feeding the people and holding up half the sky. 她们巾帼不让须眉，撑起夜色的一半天，也守护着城市的烟火灵魂。

There are the youth, supported by the past, building the future.

手中生机勃勃，眼中燃烧着未来的火光。

And then there are foreigners like me, grateful for all that I've been given here and hopeful that I too, can add to the city's fire.

我们这些外国人，怀着好奇与热情，学习着，也希望为人间烟火添一抹光。 相知无远近，万里尚为邻。
