Xiuning County - A Stop On The Journey Across China

Xiuning County, established in the 13th year of the Jian'an era during the Eastern Han Dynasty (208 AD), was initially named "Xiuyang County". Later renamed "Haiyang County" due to naming taboos, it became "Haining County" during the Jin Dynasty. In the Sui Dynasty, the name "Xiuning" was derived by combining characters from both "Xiuyang" and "Haining", which has endured to this day. Located in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, it is celebrated as "China's Premier County of Imperial Champions" and boasts abundant natural and cultural landscapes.

休宁县始建于东汉建安十三年（208年），初名“鸺阳县”，后因避讳改为“海阳县”，晋代更名“海宁县”，隋朝取“休阳”“海宁”各一字定名“休宁县”，沿用至今。位于安徽省黄山市，被誉为“中国第一状元县”，拥有丰富的自然和人文景观。
